Hamster Races
This crazy hamster has a goal to see the world!
Half Marathons have been the preferred distance so far for this Crazy Hamster! I may not be fast, but I’m not last. I prefer to be able to enjoy the scenery and new places I get to scamper around!
So lets’ get going and run one in every state! It might take me a while, as that money tree that I planted as not started producing yet, but slow and steady finishes the race
Will I ever learn my lesson about running the hills in Kentucky?

One would THINK that after the Run The Bluegrass Half Marathon last year and it’s hills, I would have learned my lesson… After I finished that race, according to my watch, I had climbed 65 flights of stairs over the course of the 33 rolling hills. (full recap from that race here) Maybe I just enjoy […]
It’s Music City Time!

Yes, this was my second trip to Nashville in April, but this one had one purpose and one purpose only. To Run! We arrived in town Friday afternoon and headed straight downtown for the expo. Since I knew that parking downtown was always at a premium (and I am all about saving money when I […]
Maybe I should have been a duck!

When I signed up for the Brew City Half Marathon, I would NEVER had guessed that it would be the same weekend that Mother Nature would throw one of the largest snowstorms in over 100 years at us! I know that living in Wisconsin means that the weather can be (and often is) unpredictable. Many […]
I THINK I was just in Washington D.C. – the whirlwind tour

What do you get when you combine 5 runners (4 of which met each other that morning), 1 support vehicle, 2 cases of water, 4 containers of chocolate covered treats, sweaty socks, amazing fall colors and a cold breeze off the lake? One epic race day at the Door County Fall 50! This is one […]
Pink… Pumpkins, hair, cookies and everything in between!

October brings along my favorite part of race season. Aside from the cooler running temperatures, it is also time for some of my favorite races in the area! Which also means that I need to pick and choose which ones that I want to run – since I can’t be in multiple places at the […]
Surviving the Worlds Longest 5k – a true story!

This past weekend, I took on a new challenge. It was something I NEVER thought I would do… but with all the challenges I have faced, I knew that this one was one that I couldn’t pass up! The 2017 Run with the Flamingo’s 5k – the Worlds Longest 5k! Yup, it’s a 5k… and […]
It takes a tribe to run 50k – Titletown Race Series 2017

Find a group of people who challenge and inspire you, spend a lot of time with the, and it WILL change your life – Amy Poehler Last year at this time, I was spending the day recovering from my (at the time) longest ever run. I finished the Titletown Ultra Series with 26.35 miles in 7 […]
